Safety Officer
JOB SUMMARY/ PURPOSE
The Safety Officer is primarily responsible for promoting occupational health and safety within the organization. Together with the Administrative Supervisor, he/she shall be in-charge of developing, implementing, administering, and establishing programs of the Company in compliance with government laws and regulations, specifically on Department of Labor and Employment – Bureau of Working Conditions’ (DOLE-BWC) Occupational Safety and Health Standards, and with the policies of Toyota Motor Philippines’ Dealer Environment Safety and Health (TMP-DESH).
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Education
- Baccalaureate degree
Minimum Experience
- At least 2 years of experience of being a Safety Officer
Knowledge and Skills required
- Good attention to details
- Good analytical and thinking skills
- Working knowledge of PC and Microsoft office applications (preferable excel and power point)
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Attended trainings and seminar related to safety and health
- Must be a certified Safety Officer (SO 3 level, preferred)
Amount of supervision received by the incumbent
- Reports to the Admin Manager but will work independently on his/her own after a brief orientation
Level of financial responsibility and accountability
The incumbent is responsible for the following:
- TMP, DOLE and OSHA health safety standards and requirements

- Inaccurate monitoring may result to losses on company and properties
Level of communication and nature of contacts
Level and nature of internal contacts
- Has regular contacts with managers and team members
Level and nature of external contacts
- Has regular coordination with DOLE and other gov’t agencies.
